Can politics exist in a state of conflict?

0

Politics is conflict, and it’s part of conflict. You can’t have conflict without having some kind of politics that set up the conditions for it to happen. Politics is all about cooperation, whether it be with your local community, state, or nation. When you are engaging in politics you are basically engaging in cooperation with, say, your nation. Now, if your friend says he wants to buy the tickets to the horror film, but you want to see the action adventure – you might have a disagreement with that friend, and that disagreement can result in a conflict. Similarly, you might have a group of people in a nation who agree with each other but disagree with another group of people – that disagreement can too result in a conflict. (Say, civil war) But conflict between nations can only occur if everyone in the nation agrees on that conflict. Have you ever seen a nation fighting with another nation if the majority of its people won’t cooperate at least in some way in facilitating the conflict?
