Yes pneumonia can be fairly rapid in onset. It may be accompanied by fevers and chills, chest pains, breathing difficulties, and cough. Food poisoning usually causes a gastrointestinal problem…from vomitting to diarrhea or both. Sometimes with a fever. It is usually over in 12-24 hours though. Food allergies are more common than we used to think, but not as common as naturpaths would have you believe. The symptoms for food allergies may be subtle or overt, which is why they are hard to diagnose. Typically things like hives, loose stools, wt loss may be associated with food allergies. I suspect your friends pizza problem was completely coincidental.
