As surprising as it might sound, it is possible for plants to clean the air within the home just as well as a humidifier can, and obviously plants are a lot cheaper! This is great news for people who are on a low budget as humidifiers can often cost quite a lot! So are there any specific plants that reduce the pollution within the home then? Well, generally all houseplants will help, but there are some that are supposedly better than others. These include ferns, palms, peace lily’s and spider plants. All are easily found at most garden centres and even some supermarkets and florists. As for how many plants you actually need, in order to reduce the pollution in your home fully, you will need a plant in every 100 square meters. So, if you do want to keep the pollution down in your home, plants are an ideal way to do it and they brighten the place up too! Just remember to take good care of them and they will take care of you!
