It would seem important for the practitioner–Guide to teach the client the elements of Focusing before expecting the client–Focuser to benefit from the Focusing process. To proceed without giving the client–Focuser the elements of the process may also be an ethical issue. Once again the success of the process would seem to depend upon the growth of somatic awareness on the part of the receiver–Focuser. Less focusing experience makes it more difficult to work: All agreed that the more experience the client–Focuser has the more he/she could benefit from the combination of bodywork and Focusing.
