Can persons using a wheelchair access the three métro stations in Laval?
For now, it is not yet possible to facilitate the movement of persons in wheelchairs through an efficient métro boarding procedure. Indeed, tests conducted with different wheelchair models have shown that boarding the métro without assistance cannot be adequately carried out because of a gap between the platform and métro car floors. As a result, the STM encourages persons using a wheelchair to continue to use paratransit services, until such time as appropriate measures can be implemented to ensure that boarding the métro from the three stations in Laval can be done adequately and safely.
