Can people from England study at university in Scotland?

Yes, you certainly can. I’m Scottish and went to St Andrews (some time ago now), but that’s where I met my English husband – half the students were from England. There were more English students in some of the Arts subjects than Scottish ones. My best friend went to Edinburgh. There were plenty of English there too, though not so many. St Andrews has a fantastic reputation for psychology (I did it for one year.) Degrees are a bit different there though – you take 3 subjects in your first year, and then later narrow it down. So you don’t have to pick what your speciality is straight away. My best friend at Edinburgh did dentistry – it’s a great place for medicine and dentistry. St Andrews isn’t great for medicine. So if you want psychology, go to St Andrews, but if you want medicine, aim for Edinburgh!
