Can Pension Plan Administrators delegate third parties/agents to file AIRs on their behalf?

Yes. The Pension Services Portal provides Pension Plan Administrators the option of delegating third parties/agents to file AIRs on their behalf. If you wish to delegate a third party/agent, make sure you first activate your Pension Services Portal account and then select the following links: “E-filing”, “AIR”, “Delegation” and finally “Modify”. Although you may delegate some or all of your functions to third parties/agents, as the Pension Plan Administrator you are ultimately responsible for monitoring the delegated duties, to ensure they are being performed accurately and in a timely manner. You are also responsible for making sure that all of the third parties’/agents’ actions meet the appropriate standard of care and comply with requirements.
