(can be Removed/Put Back in Live Machine) PCI Slot is older slot technology with 33 Mhz to max of 333 MB/s Speeds. Both are Diffrent Technologies and for diffrent compatible components usage. PCI Express is Mostly used for Grafix Cards & Heavy Duty Lan/Ethernet Cards. PCI Slot is used for basically any purpose, VGA Cards, Lan Cards, Modem, Parrellel Ports and many more.
