Can patients with osteoporosis use the Orthotrac?
There have been a number of dramatic successes with osteoporosis patients. However, the safety and effectiveness of the Orthotrac for patients diagnosed with severe osteoporosis (a Bone Mineral Density score < or = -2.5 AND a history of an osteoporotic fracture) has not been established. The use of the Orthotrac in patients with severe osteoporosis is at the discretion of the prescribing physician.
