Can PASCO pressure sensors be used with the Vernier ULI Interface?

0

A [01.23.98] Priscilla Laws, Dickinson College: PASCO pressure sensors have an analog voltage output (as opposed to a digital output e.g. photogates, rotary motion sensor, radiation counter). PASCO’s analog sensors are designed to put out voltages in a + or – 12 volt range. This voltage range is detectable by all of the PASCO interfaces used with their Science Workshop Software. Vernier software develops analog sensors that work in the 0 to +5V range. They have designed the connectors to be compatible with the PASCO interfaces. Since the 0 to +5V range falls within the PASCO -12 to +12V range, Vernier sensors will work with PASCO interfaces, BUT not vice versa!!! Thus you cannot use PASCO pressure sensors with the ULI.
