If both parents have normal chromosomes, it is unlikely that they have another child with any type of chromosome disorder. If one parent has a rearrangement of their chromosomes, their is a higher risk of having another child with a rearrangement of their chromosomes (balanced or unbalanced). It is suggested to meet with a geneticist to discuss risks, tests and options.
