In practice many versions of secret fixing exist, including infill or composite panels and edge retention systems such as Eternit Structalu. There are two specially developed Factory fabricated systems, and also a Structural bonding system developed for on site use by licensed installers. Site bonding is limited to application within the temperature range 100C to 350C and only in dry conditions. Factory fabricated systems allow the structural adhesive to be used throughout the year as it is applied under factory controlled conditions by trained and monitored fabricators.
