Can ovulation occur 3,4,5 days or more after lh surge? And, does ovulation pain last more than 2,3 days?
I get the same kind of cramps plus bleeding around ovulation. It usually last a good 4-5 days and any heavy exercise makes me bleed even more.Although they say it is a sign of ovulation I am somewhat sceptical- how can something so painful be a good sign! I did get checked out by a doc (US scan and pelvic exam) and she said everything is fine- so don’t really think its a major problem. Since you are see the LH surge accompanying the pain I guess it is ok and you need not fear also. Ovulation itself only occurs 1 day (12-24 hrs) but the behavior of the ovary n uterus together causes all these problems. Before the egg is released the uterus descends down (cervix descends down exactly and opens) so ths causes some pain (and also some constipation sometimes). When the egg is abt to be released the follicles are enlarged and ripe which also may cause pain. Also the corpus luteum gets stretched which may cause pain.
