Yes, you can include administrative costs in the accounts receivable on an infraction case that has a deferred finding. RCW 46.63.070(5), effective June 8, 2000, provides for deferred findings in a traffic infraction case and collection of any costs appropriate for the administrative processing of the deferral. • On the Create A/R (CAR) screen, use the Other Costs-Traffic Infractions (OC1) cost fee code and the amount of your administrative fee. • On the CAR screen, you must leave the JIS Trauma Care Account (JTR) cost fee code and amount untouched. If this did not answer your question or if you have a suggestion, please Ask an Expert to submit your question to the Washington State Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) Customer Services. The AOC will answer your e-mail and create or update the answer in the AOC Knowledge Base if necessary.
