Can others copy my email, usenet or my newsgroup posts?
You own the copyright in your email, usenet and newsgroup posts. In the case of newsgroup or usenet groups, however, when you post to these groups you are giving implied permission to those who use and operate the group to distribute what you write. Archiving your posts also seems to be implied as well. Personnel email, however, is similar to a written, snail mail letter. Not only does copyright apply but rights of privacy apply as well.
