Can organizations who receive federal funding use Pathways Fund dollars grant towards those programs?

0

Pathways Qualification #6 states that organizations “will not use the Pathways Fund award or match dollars to support programs receiving other Federal funding, including those from other ‘innovation funds.'” Awards from the Pathways Fund are intended to help grow and expand innovative initiatives, rather than supplement current initiatives. Programs partially funded by other federal programs, such as Americorps, may use Pathways funding towards expanding, improving, or otherwise enhancing those programs. Pathways Fund dollars may not be used simply to supplement and run a federally-funded program; organizations must be able to prove that Pathways Fund dollars are adding value to the existing program. We will carefully review any federally-funded programs to ensure full compliance with the objectives of the Social Innovation Fund. In no case may federal funds be used as matching dollars.
