Can Onko-Sure™ diagnose cancer without other methods?
Onko-Sure™ offers a method for identifying a tumor marker associated with a higher likelihood that the patient has cancer. It is a “pre-screen” but is not intended to diagnose cancer. Onko-Sure™ may be used as a tool to assess the risk of a patient having cancer, which in turn may warrant follow-up tests by the doctor if positive. The relatively low cost of the test, enables high-risk individuals to be tested on a regular basis for elevated FDP levels and the potential of having cancer. High-risk individuals include patients with a family history of oncological diseases, smokers, and ex-smokers.
