Can one person be wealthy without another being poor?
Simply speaking–No. If I earn $1000 in a day, when those around me earn $100/day, then they are “comparatively” poor. “Poor” is a comparative term. Even in a good economy that is working properly, a well-paid secretary in Wyoming will probably be “poor” compared to a secretary in New York City doing the same work. My neighborhood is not poor, but few who live in it could afford to move to NYC without a raise. One more thing–no person is made wealthy by someone taking from the poor, not in a fair society. As a comparative term, the poor only become “poor” when someone else begins to make
