Can one copy of Windows Vista be installed on multiple computers?

When you buy Vista you are only licensed to install it on one PC. Legally you are not allowed to install the same copy on another computer. Microsoft also only allows you to activate the same CD Key so many times, so if you do install it on all 3 computers then hope that you don’t have to reformat and activate again.
