I see no reason why you can’t be baptized by being submerged forwards. The main requirements for the ordinance is for the man performing it to be able to stand behind you and that you be completely submerged. We normally submerge the person backwards because that is the easiest way to do it. However, I know that adjustments have been made for people with physical limitations. I would think that the easiest way submerge yourself forward would be for you to, after the prayer, first kneel down in the font and then bend forward until you are completely submerged. However, I would also consult with the person who will be baptizing you and the church leaders in your area about this. On another note, I don’t know just why it is that you fear this, but if this is a debilitating, irrational fear, then it might be something that you should seek to over come.
