Yes. For students who are above the 1st grade level and are not proficient in Portuguese, the Pan American School offers a Portuguese as Foreign Language course (PFL). Depending on the student’s Portuguese level, it may consist of an intensive or semi-intensive course, and can last from one to three semesters before the student is placed full time in his / her grade level. The same program also exists for students who are not proficient in English (ESL).
