Can old men give advice on relationships?
A 63-year-old would be born around 1948, which means he was 19 in 1967 – the Summer of Love. Now, someone who was 63 in 1967 would have been born in 1904, and would have been 19 in 1923. The idea that women were the same creatures in the Flapper age as they were in the hippie era seems ludicrous, so the Asker has a point. On the other hand, the trials and tribulations of living, finding true love, courtesy and handling knock-backs are no different in 1967, 1923, or indeed centuries earlier. I’m sure the ancient Greeks could provide some very useful advice for 21st century folk. Old folk don’t change either, and old men have been offering advice to teenagers for as long as they’ve lived to that age, and teenagers have been taking old men’s advice with a pinch of salt for the same length of time.
