Can nude modeling in college hurt my future professional career in engineering?
In engineering, I don’t see how. “have you ever posed nude?” generally doesn’t come up at job interviews. In the off chance that someone did see the calendar and recognize you (presumably you wouldn’t be dressed the same), they would be on really thin ice bringing it up in an interview. In politics, they will dig up anything they can to sway a few votes, but who looks up the personal history of an engineer? Qualifications for the work are the deciding factor there. I would say that in politics, law enforcement or religion it would be a negative, most jobs it is irrelevant and in entertainment it is often the actresses that have worn the least that are known the best. 🙂 Many people assume that it would be a negative, but I have even known a couple of teachers that were nude models, one of which was in Playboy. The main thing would be that if you do it, make sure it is something you can be proud of. If you feel you have to keep it a secret then you are going to worry about it coming out
