Keep in mind that astrological compatibility lists focus only on Sun signs (ie., what sign the Sun was in on the day you were born). They don’t take into account the rest of your natal [birth] chart, which features all 10 planets [astrologers still count Pluto as a planet]. Gemini and Virgo are both mutable signs, with Gemini being the mutable air sign and Virgo the mutable earth sign. In simple terms, both signs can be very flexible and open to new things, but air is more thought-oriented while earth is practical and real-world oriented. It could be that your Gemini guy is so “in his head” and overthinking about what could happen when you’re out that he carries the knife to deal with his fears, rather than actually deal with reality. I agree with the previous poster that you can’t let astrology rule your relationship. Astrology can help you be aware of the potential differences and understand how to accommodate them.
