Can Nintendo games play on a Super Nintendo?
I’m sorry to report that you CANNOT play NES games on a SNES system. There’s 2 issues involved here. 1) Processing System (8-bit vs 16-bit) — While the SNES is a 16-bit system, it would not be able to understand the code from the NES games as they’re only 8-bit without some type of hardware that could translate the game code on the fly. 2) Cart connectors — This is a physical deal… The shape of the NES cart would not fit in a SNES. HOWEVER, if you’re absolutely serious on getting both NES & SNES gameplay support in a single system, you’ll most likely want to pick up a Duo Retro system… which you can find at various places for about $50. There’s also a dual power switch that only turns on one part of the system (NES or SNES) at o
