Can neon tetra mate with glowlight tetras?

No, although they are both tetras, they are different breeds of fish, and you can not interbreed the different breeds or ‘types’ of fish even if they are of the same ‘basic’ kind. I have red eyed tetras that are all about 1-1.5″ long. I also have silver dollar tetras that are 4″ long and are ‘flat’ and ’round’ like a silver dollar. They don’t even recognize each other as being the same kind of fish. Although the ‘neon’ and the ‘glowlight’ are similar they are still too far apart to interbreed. Sorry.
