Can neighbours comment on a planning application?
• Answer: Representation may be made in a number of ways: a) you can make a comment using our on-line planning information service (go to our on-line planning information page), b) you can e.mail directly to planning@eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk or c) you may write to us at East Renfrewshire Council, Roads Planning and Transportation Service, Eastwood Park, Rouken Glen Road, Giffnock, Glasgow G46 6UG You may wish to support, make comments on or object to a planning application. You should state clearly what your comments are. In considering a planning application, the Council can only consider land-use planning issues, including for example issues of design, amenity, overshadowing, noise, traffic implications and development plan policies. The Council cannot consider issues such as the loss of a view; the health effects of telecommunications masts; or the effects on individual property values.
