Can Neem Oil be used on growing vegetable plants, and if so, how long between application to harvest?

Neem oil comes from the pressed seed of the neem tree. It is used not only for insect repellent but is in medicines and has been consumed by humans for many years. Exposure to sunlight causes it to break down in a few weeks. Just be sure you are using pure neem oil and not something with toxins added in to help with pest control. Be sure to mix the oil with soap and water (recipes are all over the net) and respray about every 2 weeks.
