Can Native Sovereignty Co-exist with Canadian Sovereignty?

From the disrespectful treatment of the aboriginal peoples in colonial times, to the current land claims treaties of today, these issues have embedded themselves silently into the fabric of Canadian society, sowing seeds of discontent that ultimately manifest themselves in the issue of a complete native seperation from Canada. Native peoples want full autonomy. They are tired of being left out in the cold by a government that seems to care more about people and places outside of Canada, than the people and places of Canada itself. The native peoples of Canada feel very strongly that Only when the full sovereignty of Indian nations is recognized will native peoples be able to overcome their degrading colonial status.
