Can nasal polyps cause any problems such as headaches?

0

Nasal polyps can cause sinus problems, such as headaches, migraines and poor drainage in the sinus cavity. My daughters have cystic fibrosis and they have had two sets of surgery to remove polyps. The polyps were causing mucus to drain into the lungs and would cause more visits to the doctor, because of colds. They now do nasal washes, you can buy this treatment over the counter at Walgreen’s or other like store. It involves squeezing warm water mixed with a pinch of baking soda and 1/4 teaspoon of salt into both nostrils. This cleans out the sinus and can help prevent forming of polyps.
