Can my x-husband sign over his parental rights without my consent?
I believe this would depend on the laws made by your state. I know where I live the answer would be yes he can sign away his parental rights with out your consent. And sadly a lot of men do do this for the exact reason you post. It is so irresponsible. I feel it should not be legal to bring children in to this world and then make it legally possible for the children to be abandoned. I am empathetic to your situation. I feel that you may have the right to contest his request for termination of parental rights based on some of the things you mentioned (having been married).
