Can my son/daughter take classes at another college or university and then transfer the credits back to CCSU?
Yes, providing that certain transfer criteria is met. Any student who is interested in taking a particular class at another university or college should first consult with their academic advisor here at CCSU. Also, students should consult the in-state transfer course equivalency guide prior to registering for the course to guarantee their transfer credit. In additions, students should also fill out a Request for Transfer Credit Form which can be found in the office of admissions. An admissions counselor will review the form and sign off on the course equivalency. Keep in mind that students must complete at least 45 credits in residency to obtain their degree from CCSU.
