Australia and New Zealand are in the same market as far as Sony are concerned, so it shouldn’t be problem to buy a PS2 game in Aust to use on an NZ console. As far as I’m aware PS2 games aren’t region locked, so you should be able to source games from any PAL market (Aust, most of Europe, UK and NZ).
