Can my local AM radio stations be heard in other towns in UK?
It depends on how powerful the transmitter signal is, and how good your radio receiver is, but the range is usually much longer than FM radio. Reception is better at night time, and you can hear stations from further away. If you want to get an idea of what you might be able to listen to (if your radio is sensitive enough) see the World Radio TV Handbook – your local reference library will probably have a copy. www.wrth.
