Can my LDVD5.1 be updated to play DivX movies like the 5.1A version?

Unfortunately not, the 5.1A version has new decoder hardware necessary for viewing DivX files (hence the slight increase in manufacturing costs). The original 5.1 cannot be updated to support the DivX files. It does however support many other file types including MPEG movies, there are further details of supported files in the manual.
