Gastric bypass surgery cannot be easily reversed. LAP BAND surgery, however, is more easily reversible. If necessary, you may undergo surgery to remove, replace, or alter the band. Please understand that reversal of any bariatric procedure would mean regaining the weight that you have lost. Bariatric surgery is meant to be a life-long commitment.

Unlike gastric bypass surgery, lap band surgery is easily reversible, AT any point of time after lap band surgery if you think you have successfully achieved weight loss goal what you want and donot need this band or due to any other reason if you want to remove your lap band then you ca easily go for removal of lap band. But if you will change your lifestyle then there would be changes of being obese for one more time. so when you decided for removing of lap band after lap band surgery, stuck with lifestyle what you have time time (during having band).
