Can my existing hot water unit be used to run a Hydronic System?

A. An existing storage unit can be converted by adding a circulating pump to supply heat to aprox. 3 radiator panels. This option is extremely useful if you want to have the benefits of circulated hot water and want to heat 1 or 2 rooms. Especially useful for hydronic heated towel rails see towel rails page. However it will not be adequate to provide hydronic heating to the entire house. Q. Can I combine my wood furnace/stove with a Hydronic Heating System? A. Wood fired ovens can be incorporated into the Hydronic Heating System to provide extra environmentally friendly heat. Heating for an entire house will usually require a gas unit also as the wood heaters require a large amount of fuel to give out enough heat capacity to maintain an entire system.
