If 15 minutes equates to $1 (you are making $4 per hour) and you aren’t there to earn it sure an employer can deduct that. The employer can also decide to motivate others with montetary awards… in effect… giving what was originally allocated to be yours to someone else.

We had a rule that you were allowed to be late 3 times in a year without notifying the company. The 4th time was strike one, 5 strike two (plus a day off) and 6 aufwiedersehen.
