Can my dependents who live outside the plan’s service area enroll?
No, all family members must live in the plan’s service area to enroll in Sharp Health Plan. Sharp Health Plan’s commercial service area includes all of San Diego County and parts of Southern Riverside County. If your employer extends coverage to full-time students as explained above, your children will be covered for emergency and urgent care services while they are away at school. They will receive routine and preventive care services from their PCP while they are back at home.
