Can my department purchase less expensive wireless access points for installation in place of the equipment that IT will install?
IT has conducted an extensive evaluation of wireless networking equipment in order to select the make and model of wireless access point that offers scalability, upgradeability, and network features ensuring that the equipment can be deployed effectively within the District. Less expensive equipment does not offer all of these features and cannot be used for this reason.
