Can my cocktiel play in a cherry blossom tree?

No. You shouldn’t allow your bird to chew on, or eat anything from a fresh or living cherry tree. There is much debate about the safety of cherry wood which is known to be toxic, even fatal, to other animals. Cherry wood should never be used fresh. If used at all, it must be stripped of all bark, twigs, leaves and sap, and then thoroughly dried. Here is a link to a list of woods that are safe or dangerous to birds: http://www.birdsafe.com/woods.
