Can my co. say I was dismissed if I resign without notice before a disciplinary hearing?

Contrary to what has been said so far, If the meeting has been arranged formally, then you should have received a letter inviting you to this disciplinary meeting. Within this letter, it should have informed you of date and time of meeting, who will be holding the meeting, and that you can invite your shop steward into the meeting too. They also should have informed you, that if the meeting is a disciplinary meeting, then failing to turn up for the meeting, could result in your summary dismissal from the company. So if like you said that you wish to resign without notice, before the meeting, you are technically not attending the meeting hence resulting in your summary dismissal. However if it is only at the investigatory meeting stage, it may not go to a disciplinary meeting, depending on the outcome of the investigation.
