Can my child “play up” or “play down” an age division?

A. The online registration system will allow you to register your child in an older or younger age group for the intramural program. However, this is typically allowed so that a child may be on the same team as their schoolmates. It is not intended for players to “play up” for purposes of increased competition, nor to “play down” fo ra child to be in a less-competitive age group. Any final decision as to whether or not a child is permitted to play “up” or “down” will be determined by the soccer club. Note: League travel rules do not allow travel players to play in a younger age group (play “down”).
