Can my child have the Hib/MenC jab together with the MMR and pneumococcal jabs?
Yes, these vaccines can be given together. The recommended childhood vaccination schedule indicates that Hib/MenC is given at 12 months of age and the pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) is given at 13 months of age, along with MMR. However, there is some flexibility in the schedule and Hib/MenC and PCV can be given at the same time, at either 12 or 13 months. Where the routine schedule is not followed, extra care must be given to recording the vaccines on the child’s medical records.
