Can my child bring a science project, instrument or other large project onto the bus?
Yes and No. If the project contains a prohibited item or could jeopardize the safety of the other riders or the bus, then no. By State and Federal law, nothing can be in the bus aisle nor can anything obstruct the emergency exits, including the rear emergency exit door. We tell our drivers that if the project can sit safely on the child’s lap, then it is OK to bring it on the bus, otherwise Mon and Dad, please drive your student and his/her project to the school.
