She’s a coward? A dog can be a serious threat to a cat. Your cat is smart to be afraid. She is not a coward. No, she’s not turning feral. She’s a terrified pet. You need to make sure she has some space to herself where the dog can’t go. You need to approach her calmly and let her hide when she wants to hide. She has every reason to be scared. It may take a long time for her to ok with the dog being there. It’s possible she’ll never accept the dog and will always be scared. But with patience and understanding she will probably learn to deal with him. Just don’t try to rush things. Look at the situation from her perspective. The dog may not seem threatening to you, but her instincts are different. Hopefully she’ll see the other cat playing with the dog and learn to accept him that way once she sees that the other cat likes him.
