Can my cat get impregnated after having kittens?

0

Usually when the kittens are about 4-5 weeks old the mother will go into season again, it’s always possible she could have gotten pregnant so soon after giving birth or maybe your time could be off. She is probably fat because she’s a nursing mom with milk. As soon as the baby is weened and her milk dries up, seriously consider having her spayed. Check with any local animal groups in your area that may offer low cost spaying you can take advantage of. You don’t need her to have another litter of kittens, her body doesn’t need to go through having kittens so soon, your local animal shelter doesn’t need more kittens. Your cat will live a healthier life for it.
