Carpet pythons and Bearded dragons have completely different care needs, and if you keep the cage at the temperature and humidity level the Bearded dragon needs, you will likely kill your Carpet python, and visa versa. Carpet pythons are nocturnal, moderate humidity snakes that need no UV light, and have to have an ambient temperature gradient of 77-80 degrees with a basking spot of 86-90 degrees. Bearded dragons are a diurnal, low humidity species that need UV light, have an ambient temperature gradient of 78-80 degrees with a basking spot of about 105. That isn’t even taking into account the possibility of one injuring (or even eating, in the Carpet’s case)) the other animal. Your Carpet python could easily accidentally squish your Beardie. All in all, I highly suggest purchasing a second set-up, and doing a lot of research before deciding to get a Bearded dragon, as they are a bit higher maintenance then most snakes.
