Can my boss refuse a toilet break?
Legally they cannot refuse you a toilet break if you are in fact going to the toilet for the correct reason. Lets put it this way, some companies give workers a 10 minute PAID smoking break every hour so why do so many refuse to allow employees a few minutes to go to the toilet. You can end up with health problems if you dont go when you need to and they can then be held liable. There is no reason why she couldnt let you go, very silly. I suggest if you have one you report it to the union rep and let them look into it.
