Can my 8 month old have rotavirus without having vomiting?

My son has had diarrhea for a couple of days and everyday it is getting worse and worse. It smells horrible (way worse than normal) and he is going 10 times a day. I think it might be rotavirus but there isn’t any vomiting. He is not dehydrated so I am not too concerned but I am just curious on when it will go away!
